Martin Currie are active equity specialists, driven by investment expertise and focused on managing money for a wide range of global clients. They actively encourage employee engagement across all areas of their business, a commitment which enables a culture of individual responsibility and shared success.
With offices in the UK, US, Australia and Singapore, they are focused on creating a clear and inspiring culture, which can be embedded right throughout the organisation. A key part of this ethos is learning, which the leadership teams wants to facilitate by building a culture in which every single employee can thrive.
Martin Currie really liked the partnership philosophy that Insights offered, and the endless possibilities that working with Insights Discovery can bring over time.
The programme we offered gave teams right across the business the opportunity to understand how differing priorities and skillsets can complement each other, delivering success at the individual, team and organisational level.
Working with Insights Discovery has complemented the other development going on in Martin Currie, and in particular supports their ‘performance coaching’ culture and approach.
So far, 90% of people at Martin Currie have had an Insights Discovery experience – and feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
Working with Insights Discovery has had a clear impact right across the business, by increasing individual self-awareness and communication skills, and especially in helping people to give and receive feedback. It has sparked a real interest in people, around how and why they all communicate differently, and how people also learn differently from others. Colleagues have become more mindful of how their colleagues like to work, prefer to communicate, and learn at their own pace.
I don’t think I’ve ever been to a session like that, which clearly gave us an opportunity to try out a number of simple exercises with our teams. They seemed very simple and I’m confident that I could facilitate them for my team.
